Much like our compliance forms, the cue would also be needed if our podcasts were to be broadcast on live radio, which would aid the producer, presenters and more importantly the BA, and allow them to introduce the episodes professionally. There are 2 word documents, 1 for each of the podcasts, and they both have cues which introduce the piece, brand the station, sell the idea to the audience and also give a brief overview of what the audience will be hearing. The second cue is worded in a way which makes reference to the first episode of the podcast, this means that as well as emphasising just how much talent there is, it also allows people to be aware that “Pass It On” is an actual series, which may encourage listeners to check out any previous episodes they may have missed.
