‘Pass It On’ is a brand new series of podcasts that focus on skills that people in the local area possess, and demonstrate how they have learnt, mastered and passed on these hobbies.  The major aim of the 2 initial podcasts was to explore the range of skills that were apparent in the area of Lincoln, which would therefore inform the listeners and hopefully inspire them to take up some of the hobbies in question.

Whether the skill has been self taught, or been picked up thanks to a mentor or influence, anyone was welcome to take part in our podcast. This is because we believe there are plenty of skilled individuals around, and people need to learn about how they have mastered their particular talents, as this is a major way to be inspired as the audience. The podcasts also want to prove that if the love for something, such as songwriting, is strong enough, then anything is possible, and hopefully this will be apparent while being listened too.

It is also important to raise awareness of how talented the people of Lincoln can be, the range of people that this consists of, as well as the fact that there are so many activities to take part in that may be hidden away, such as bagpipe playing or fishing!

Therefore, “Pass It On” is designed to highlight a range of people’s skills and what they’ve done with them, which will hopefully persuade the listener to try something new in their spare time!
